The purpose of HFALA is to help  people and families in transition to get off the street and give them temporary shelter, food, clothing and job placement. In addition to helping them find permanent housing and assistance with the first few months of rent and security deposits. We provide a hand up out of
a serious situation that millions of people find themselves in for one reason or another. The sources of our funding are 4 major fundraising events held throughout the year, along with private and corporate donations.

We are deeply committed to this important work. Perhaps the most important thing that any of us can do, is to help one another in a time of need.
